Privacy

Last updated 2 November 2026

This policy explains what Life Inc collects, why, and what we do with it. Life Inc is a trading name of GAD Systems Pty Ltd, an Australian company bound by the Privacy Act 1988.

Your account

We store your email, a display name if you set one, your signing identity (a public key) and the sessions you are signed in from. Your password is never stored or seen by us; it unlocks the key that signs your records.

Records and items in your wallet

Life Inc stores the records issued to you and the items you register so that you can reach them from any device, the way an email provider stores mail. That means we can read them. We do not sell them, we do not use them for advertising, and we do not share them except as this policy describes.

Records are signed by the party that issued them. We cannot forge a record or alter one silently. When a court or a lawful order requires a change, it is recorded as a new signed override record that points to the original, and the original remains readable.

The stolen register

When you report an item stolen we keep the report on your ledger and a hash of the serial number, never the number itself. Anyone who checks that serial number is told only “reported stolen” and the date. Nobody is told who holds the item or who reported it. Marking the item found clears the hash.

Names

A name you hold is public by design: it is how people and businesses find you. Your badge shows the name and its shape; it does not show your email or what you hold.

Businesses that issue records

A business that issues a record to you learns your Life Inc identity only when it already has a dealing with you, such as a sale. Webhooks sent to a business carry record identifiers and hashes, never record contents.

Your AI

If you connect an AI, it can add drafts and read what you hold, within the consent you gave; it cannot sign, accept, transfer or delete anything. You can revoke a connection from Settings at any time.

The directory

Directory pages at lifeinc.directory describe kinds of things, not people. A page never shows who owns a thing. Linking an item to its page never tells anyone it is yours, and counts appear only once five people hold one.

Emails from us

We send an email when a shop you bought from asked us to tell you a receipt is waiting, when you ask to recover your password, and when an AI setup link is ready. We send nothing else, and never marketing.

Where data lives

Our servers are in Australia. Traffic is routed through Cloudflare, which may process connection metadata at the edge nearest to you. Every connection is encrypted.

Your rights

You can download everything we hold about you from Settings. You may ask us to correct or delete it by writing to [email protected]. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes

If this policy changes we update the date at the top. Material changes to how wallet records are handled are announced to wallet holders before they take effect.
